Try your luck – you could win a duck!

To celebrate the first anniversary of our opening, which falls on June 26th, for the whole of that week we will be offering every table of diners the chance to win a celebratory prize – a whole roasted Peking duck to share!

One of our most popular dishes, and indeed one which Hutong is renowned for, our Peking duck is prepared by specially-trained chefs in a dedicated kitchen, visible through a large plate-glass window at the end of the main dining room. The ducks are marinaded over a period of 24 hours before being roasted in special duck oven which gives the duck its prized crispy skin, succulent fat and moist flesh.

Served as is traditional in two stages, the duck is first brought to the table and carved into slices which are presented on a tray to be enjoyed with our home-made pancakes and duck sauce – made to a secret recipe! – and vegetables, then the rest is taken away to be chopped and stir-fried with peppers and onion then wrapped in lettuce leaves.

From Monday 23rd until Sunday 29th June inclusive, each table will be invited to nominate someone to roll a special set of dice  - just one roll each table – and anyone throwing a 2 and a 6, representing both the date that Hutong opened and making the lucky number 8, will win a whole roasted Peking duck for the table to enjoy with our compliments!
